It's a bit of work, but the results are pretty impressive. From Topaz I rendered the upscaled videos as 16bit TIFF image sequences (the other output formats are pretty low quality) and rendered to H264 in Adobe Media Encoder. I then outputed those shots as uncompressed MOV files, which I then opened in Topaz Video Enhance AI, where I did the upscaling. I graded the original 12bit 444 HD images out of the camera first in Assimilate Scratch (I prefer this to Davinci). Maybe they got swapped when you uploaded them to the site? Look at the small branches in the first image or the eyes of the girl or the cross patterns on the left shoe. ![]() I wonder how they would compare if you just export the 1080 version in 4k and then upload to Vimeo.įor the photos, the uprez version has to be the one on the left. Perhaps a bit too sharp in the uprez versions. ![]() It's not as detailed as Artemis, however it is very good at cleaning up noise.ĬheersI can see the difference clearly in the Vimeo clips. Another good algorithm, especially for very noisy footage, is the Theia-Fidelity one. I think the best compromise between quality, speed and absence of artefacts is the Aretmis-HQ algorithm, although in the Apothic Uprez clip you can see some of white speckles at the beginning of the clip. I noticed this the most with the Gaia-HQ. If you see them full screen on a 4K monitor you will notice quite a difference in detail and sharpness.ĭepending on the algorithm used you can encounter some artifacts. Also, in the shared Google Photo Album the images on the left are the original HD images and the ones on the right are the upscaled ones. I have fixed the links and are all viewable now. Thank you RayZan for letting me know the Vimeo links were not working. I hope someone finds this information useful. I am not affiliated in any way with Topaz - I was just trying different upscaling methods and came across this one, which I found truly amazing and thought some other F35 owners might be interested. I adds detail, but keeps the grain of the image and has the least amount of artefacts. For all the shots above I found the one called Artemis HQ to be the best. Topaz has several different AI algorithms, each designed to work a little differently. Also everything I shoot is either 12bit 444 at 24fps or 10bit 444 at 50p, so there is an insane amount of color information for the program to work with. I think the reason it works so well is that the F35 HD image is so highly detailed that the Topaz Video Enhance AI algorithm is able to extrapolate more detail out the image. So without further ado here are some screenshots and videos of the original Sony F35 output image and the upscaled version: So much so that I felt it would be beneficial for everyone here to see some comparison shots and screen grabs on a few projects and quick tests I did recently. I recently discovered a program called Topaz Video Enhance AI and I must say the results are pretty amazing. ![]() I have been rigging out and shooting with my F35, and recently I have been experimenting with upscaling the footage to 4K. It's been a long time since I have posted anything here on the F35 forum. ![]()
when you ask to start playing with a previously-unused view and/or resolution), so at least you don't get hit by all the combinations up front, and can limit your downloads to the resolution you'll actually be using. This new version of the game (or at least the work-in-progress versions) downloads the views on demand (i.e. As with the original game, each view is rendered independently for each resolution but everything is just bigger this time around. One thing I have to comment on is the disk space consumed by this edition. Playing with my favourite view once more, and having a ball :) Just like that, we suddenly have v1.2.0 with ALL the views?! Excellent! I usually ignore "early access" releases, but I'm keen to see how this one progresses from this point. Right now I'm a very happy Kickstarter backer, though. I really hope they will, but this one has clearly proven to be be quite an effort. With that in mind, I really couldn't guess whether they'll succeed in pushing forward with the other tables in the series after this one is completed. ![]() I'm guessing that I'm still in for a long wait for the final version of the game, given the time it's taken to get this far. ![]() It's very exciting to see this in action first hand at last. They've just released their first public Linux build, which means I've had my first play :) There are still many features yet to be implemented (most noticeably the viewing angles - there are only two to choose from right now, and neither is my preferred one), but the game is very pretty indeed, even with the graphical details (resolution excepted) set to minimum (which I found I needed to do to keep the ball movement completely smooth at all times with my aging video card). Slowly but surely seems to be the motto of this project. Frankly, if you have *any* interest in Pinball whatsoever, then getting your hands on all three of these (and doing a bit to help the prospects of the Kickstarter) should be a priority. ![]() Personally I rank the tables as Timeshock! > Fantastic Journey > BRUSA (I have always felt that the latter drains too easily, and I was never enthused by its video mode), however I've found that each Pro Pinball table has fans which consider it to be the best one, so YMMV. * Any kickstarter pledge of $2 or more gets you the "Timeshock!" and "Fantastic Journey" tables. * They are giving away the original "Big Race USA" for free. * A brand new table (in conjunction with Pat Lawlor of The Addams Family and The Twilight Zone fame). * Remastered versions of the original Pro Pinball tables. Now some of the original developers want to bring it back, with: First of all, the "Pro Pinball" tables are the best PC pinball ever created. ![]() Alas, her life would be shortened by several years if she kept staying with him! ![]() The point is that if s is indeed a variable, if you take a look at the plot in the answer, there seems to be a ridge due to the -∞ term, so for some values of s that ridge might be within your integration curve, and then the integral can't be calculated, as Bill pointed out in his comment to your question. ![]() Wolfram Alpha is taking it to mean s*v, which might not be what you meant-if sv is a variable on it's own, I suggest you rename it to s or something else.
